Dr. Nishat Fatima is an eminent academician and researcher in the field of Pharmacology with over 20 years of rich experience in teaching, research, and clinical trials. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics from Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad, and her M. Pharm in Pharmacology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

She has guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students and has published more than 40 research articles in reputed national and international journals in both pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology. Her research interests include herbal drug evaluation, toxicology, cardiovascular pharmacology, diabetes, neuroprotection, and drug development.

Dr. Nishat Fatima has successfully executed Phase I and III clinical trials for global pharmaceutical companies such as AstraZeneca, Novartis, Merck, and Pfizer. She also holds copyrights and patents related to novel drug delivery systems and COVID-19 therapeutic strategies. In addition to research, she has authored a textbook and contributed chapters to international scientific publications.

As Principal of DR. V. R. K. Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, she emphasizes quality education, innovation in research, and holistic student development. She is a life member of the Indian Pharmacological Society and serves as an editorial board member and reviewer for several international scientific journals. With her leadership, vision, and dedication, she continues to inspire students and faculty towards excellence in pharmacy education and research.
